Each piece is carefully expressed with detail, joy and
love during its creation by Kalpana in her Carlisle, PA studio.
The glass that is used is from Murano, Italy and is
heated to a molten state of over 2000 degrees, by a torch, and then
formed on a mandrel and placed into a kiln for several hours. Later, the
jewelry piece is cleaned and embellished with silver arrangements.
Silver pendants and fine silver rings are sculpted
from Precious Metal Clay. Each piece starts with the artistís vision,
then sculpted, then fired at 1650 degrees, leaving a lustrous piece of
fine silver. The beauty accent is then polished and finished. Like a
caterpillar to a butterfly, itís transformed into a beautiful ring,
pendant, bracelet, or a set of earrings!
